RMS - Resident Management System
The iResidency 2.0 system is an integrated suite of modules developed to improve communication, information workflow and reporting for residency training program accreditation and Medicare reimbursement. The system replaces multiple databases and ad hoc processes with a single unified database and streamlined workflow. The iResidency 2.0 system is more robust and contains expanded functionality for its primary users - academic residency programs and their associated personnel - compared to the previous version. More than two thousand physicians in over 160 residency programs currently rely upon iResidency 2.0 to keep track of the various activities and data gathering tasks that are required for the efficient operation of a residency program. Full functionality of iResidency 2.0 is available online through any Internet browser.
iResidency include tools for resident evaluations, educator evaluations, medical student evaluation, program evaluations, nursing evaluations, and a significant number of other competency-based and 360-degree evaluation tools. In addition to these evaluation tools, our suite of products includes case, procedure and diagnosis logs, management reporting, duty hours tracking, curriculum management, Medicare reimbursement tracking and reporting, conference tracking and a host of other tools. These evaluation and other tools are available both on the web and on PDA devices. Error checking and audit routines decrease the potential for conflicting data that can lead to reduced Medicare reimbursement to the institution. Better documentation and communication reduces the possibility of residency program sanctions by accrediting bodies. 'Sole source of truth' tracking of resident activities leads to decreased institutional liability. Direct resident access to personalized information such as evaluation results, schedules, case logs and conference attendance allow them to take added ownership in their medical training and have a richer educational experience.
Residency program accreditation data managed by iResidency 2.0 includes: complex rotation and call schedule generation, faculty and resident demographics, resident evaluations by faculty and peers, case logs, conference/grand rounds and resident duty hours. Institutional data managed by iResidency 2.0 includes: cost reporting, affiliated institutional billing, Medicare reimbursement, FTE calculations and auditing functions.
iResidency 2.0 is a secured, password-protected web-based interface that allows a diverse group of stakeholders real-time access to information essential to managing their respective specialized tasks. Stakeholders include: Medical residents, faculty, program administrators, paging, graduate medical education (GME), and hospital finance. Over 1,000 CHS stakeholders will interact with the iResidency 2.0 system daily.
